This will take place at the Prestwick Indoor Bowling Club on Monday 11th December between 2.30pm and 6.30pm.
Police Report: A total of 47 crimes were reported during the previous 4 weeks with 23 relating to shoplifting in retail shops and supermarkets. Other cases related to assaults, vandalism, road traffic offences, disorder, housebreaking, breach of bail, drugs, and abusive texts and calls.
Free Wi-Fi and A Digital Town: Vice Chair Norrie Smith outlined the vision for this concept with the main intention being the provision of free wi-fi from the airport to the Main Street. Part of this project would involve an APP providing information and services for both visitors and residents. Norrie Smith has been invited and will attend The Cross Party Group for Towns and Town Centres at The Scottish Parliament in Holyrood to take part in a discussion on “Towns – More than a Retail Economy”.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held in Kingcase Church Hall at 7pm on Thursday 25 January. As always members of the public are warmly invited to attend and can be given the opportunity to raise any matters of concern affecting the Prestwick South area.
